Calvin Morgan
Senior Organization Development Consultant
Calvin Morgan consults extensively in the areas of management skills, diversity and inclusion, interpersonal skills, public speaking, and business writing. Within diversity and inclusion, he has designed and facilitated diversity training programs to develop diversity awareness and skills, committees, and on-going programs. He also has extensive experience as an instructor on executive presentations for management employees, exempt employees, and community-based organizations. His thirty years’ experience spans numerous industries including academia (higher education and public school systems), financial services, governmental agencies, manufacturing, nonprofits, professional services, sports and entertainment, and utilities. In addition to his work of consulting to organizations, Calvin works to educate students as an adjunct professor at Post and Briarwood colleges.
Prior to and during his consulting experience, Calvin was employed by Northeast Utilities for thirty-six years where he held positions of EEO/Diversity Administrator, Management Development Administrator, and Management Development Trainer. At NU, he gained extensive experience in creating highly effective affirmative action plans, programs, and procedures to comply with federal, state, and municipal regulatory requirements while achieving corporate objectives.
Calvin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Southern New Hampshire University. He has been awarded second place in Toastmasters’ World Championship of Public Speaking, is a member of Toastmasters’ International Hall of Fame, and served as Governor of Toastmasters International. Additionally, he has served as a member of Hartford RSVP Advisory Board, the American Society of Training and Development, the American Management Association, and the Connecticut Diversity Council.
