With decades of progressive, internal business leadership experience, Bob guided large and small companies on business-focused people strategies prior to becoming a consultant and trusted advisor. He served as the top HR executive at corporate and divisional levels with global responsibility for companies including ABB, Alstom, Kodak Polychrome Graphics and Eastman Kodak. As an early pioneer in continuous improvement and total quality, he drove business results by focusing on process efficiency and cost effectiveness to reduce overhead by millions of dollars for several organizations. While at ABB, Bob led the formation, pricing, implementation, and oversight of Shared Services subsequent to the acquisition of Combustion Engineering. This included the ‘purchase-ability’ by each business unit any or all of Payroll, Benefits Administration, Recruitment, Training and Development, Communications & Graphic Arts, Accounts Payable, IT Support, Legal Services, Mail Services, Facilities’ Maintenance, Cafeteria Services, etc. The internal businesses focused on customer needs, competitive costs, and efficient process management through Lean and TQM. The use of Shared Services were not mandated – each business unit had the option of seeking external contractors who were competitive. Yet, his units consistently delivered success and profitability. Additionally, Bob provided HR leadership to smaller and early life cycle businesses including Noble Environmental Power and EagleEye Analytics where he focused on aligning and engaging the organization’s people to realize significant, measurable improvements.

Bob earned his BS in Business Administration from Western New England College and M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Springfield College. He also is an alumnus of the Harvard Graduate School of Business, having successfully completed their Advanced Management Program (AMP) and is a member of the Human Resources Planning Society.
